Pilar Martinez

My name is Pilar Martinez and this will be my third horse in the Wyo Ranch Horse Sale. I have been blessed to grow up around horses my entire life, but I did have a little bit of a different start from most people in ranching. Growing up in California taking English lessons gave me a solid foundation, but once I started high school I wanted to branch out and break into the rodeo world. I started team roping and breakaway and eventually that snowballed into ranching. At 18 years old I moved to Montana for college and completed several internships in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. My internship at the Pitchfork Ranch in Meeteetse, Wyoming was the most influential on my horsemanship. Thanks to the amazing horseman around me, my riding did a complete 180 and I started working with younger horses. Slowly I am still learning and progressing with every horse, trying to make them as gentle but broke as I possibly can. Thank you for being here!
