Homero Lopez - Alacran Stock Horses and Mules
Based out of South Central Texas Alacran Stock Horses is a program that strives to bring you GOOD and SOLID Ranch Mounts and Prospects that are Top Tier. Although We specialize mostly in young horses with Ranch/ Cow lineage I don't shy away from other breeds. I've ridden some fine mules as well as other breeds who most would agree are mostly sought after for English Disciplines. Regardless of breeds or lineages, A Horse is A Horse is A Horse! Although the gypsy, Frisian , thoroughbred etc… may not go on to have a career in ranching it will not hurt them know how to work a cow, cross the creek, or put in a day's work at a branding. I try my best to set a strong foundation that will later bring forward a willing attitude and good work ethic. I've been a farrier for over 19 years therefore I place a lot of importance on good feet and good structure. I'm big on Pretty heads and soft eyes. Life’s too short to ride and ugly horse. The brand I use is one that's been in my family for over a century. It's a brand I'm proud of and one that I will not tarnish. I want people to be happy when they acquire one of my horses and want another one. I started bringing my stock up to North Country about 4 years ago and I've enjoyed every bit. The Clark family runs the best sales, and We’re blessed to be a part of it!
